The ipcGUARD™ is a dust abatement tool that creates a localized negative-pressure construction area environment as prescribed in CSA Z317.13-17 Preventative Measures during minor dust-generating maintenance activities in an operating health care facility.
After review of this product, IPAC fully endorses its use. This innovation could potentially improve patient safety and save money. We look forward to this device becoming an accepted standard in PHSA facilities.

An example of the incredible savings provided by the ipcGUARD™ was the install of 6 computer brackets in the Intensive Care Unit. As ICU is a critical patient care area it is considered to be a Category 4 Dust Control environment. This requires the highest level of dust control to perform the work.
Patient Safety is paramount in Health Care. The ipcGUARD™ exceeds the current CSA Standards for Infectious Control and provides a “low impact” alternative way to complete maintenance activities thru to Terminal clean, while reducing the risk of room disruption and Hospital Acquired Infections.
